Before you can order the parts you need you will want to check the unit thoroughly to detect the source of your problem. If your electric fireplace heater won t turn on won t heat or the fan is blowing cold air. The heater is either dirty or defective. This problem occurs when the thermostat is set too low below room temperature preventing it from turning on.

There is excessive noise coming out of the heater. The problem also occurs when a wire becomes loose causing it to fail to make a connection. If this doesn t help then you might have a burned out heating element. If the electric heater fan comes on when you turn on the heater but no heat seems to be coming out you could have a blown circuit or there may be a break in the actual heater coil.

Ensure that the fireplace is plugged in and turned on at the wall. Some units tend to have a separate switch for the heating element so make sure it s on. On my electric fireplace the heater switches won t work and the heater won t turn on unless the main power switch is on. Ensure that the main power switch on the fireplace is turned on.
